JD implements organizational adjustments in logistic unit following similar move in retail
Chinese e-commerce giant JD is implementing a new round of organizational adjustments in its logistics arm, aimed at improving efficiency and collaboration across multiple business lines. This marks the company’s second restructuring within a week, following changes made to its retail unit. JD Logistics will be divided into four distinct groups: supply chain, express delivery, fast delivery, and international business. Additionally, each province will function as a separate operating unit, replacing the previous regional organizational structure. This new model will give provincial leaders increased authority over business decisions, management, and personnel appointments and dismissals. [LatePost, in Chinese]
